Individual Academy memberships are available at $35 per year to Academy riders of all ages who show a school horse.

Becoming a member means involvement with individuals dedicated to promoting the American Saddlebred horse and:

• Eligibility for participation in Youth Achievement Award Program (YAAP)
• Eligibility for Academy Year End Awards
• Eligibility for Youth Scholarship Awards for ages 11 to 17
• Information about MSHA-sponsored events: horse shows, clinics, annual awards banquet, Limited Breeder’s Auction, Saddlebred demonstrations, and more
• Discount on membership in the American Saddlebred Horse Association as an affiliate member

Standard memberships are available at $45 per year. Standard memberships include parents or guardians with youth ages 17 and younger.

• Eligibility for Minnesota State Championship Horse Show (with payment of recording fee and participation in three qualifying Minnesota shows)

• Discount on membership in the American Saddlebred Horse Association as an affiliate member
• Member stable online listing 
• Eligibility to enter and nominate foals to the Futurity Program
• Eligibility for Youth Achievement Award Program (YAAP)
• Eligibility for the Flaming Award for a 13 and under rider
• Eligibility for Youth Scholarship Awards for ages 11 to 17
